Dear Sir

As you was so kind, to desire to know how my
Complaint went on. I have waited till now, in order to
be able to be more positive, of the effects I have found
from your Medicines, & Direction, which I have follow'd implicitely
four large Spoonful of the Mixture, I have taken at Bed time
which has answerd the purpose of making me very Squeemish
without Casting up. towards morning it brings on a Slight perspi¬
ration
, and goes off with a lose Stool & no more.

The Healing Lotion I have used to My Neck, & Arms. the Neck
is much better, but my Arms & hands, are rather worse then
when you Saw them. I have used the Ointment about my
Eyes, & Mouth, but they Still continue Scaly. I drink the whey
it sits easy on my Stomach; but palls my Appetite for Breakfast
I continue to eat the water Cressys with Mustard at Breakfast
the Itching which was used to prevent me from resting was greatly
abated, but having taken the advantage these two fine days
for ↑a↑ walking, it has rather brought it on again, but has made my

Spirits better, and of Course my Health, which always Suffers
by Confinements within these three days, the eruption
has appear'd on My thighs, and the Bottom of my Back
I have used no Lotion to these parts.

As I have not been troubled with Costiveness, I have taken no
powders. I keep inviolably to the Diet & wine you prescribed
God Grant! that my endeavours, and your great Skill My worthy
Doctr. on, which I pin my faith. may set me free of this very
troublesome Complaint. and am with true esteem

Dear Sir
your obedient Servant

Eliz Murray

Ps if you think it necessary for you to see me, again
let me know; & I will meet you in Edinburgh
