Take half an ounce of Calcined Magnesia, two drachms [each?] of powdered Rhubarb, powdered Gum Guaiacum (in a Japonic solution), Cardiac Compound, and enough Syrup of Orange Peel to make a [composite?] Electuary M. N. M. {illeg} I. grind into {illeg} mass
Take an ounce of Powdered Peruvian Bark, a drachm of Powdered Ginger Root, place into enough boiling water up to a pound; to the strained liquid add an ounce of composite Spirit of Lavender, three drachms of Aromatic Tincture [m compt: Cont?] every day two hours before and after lunch.
