Dear Sir


Your Patient Mr. Matthie has persever'd in
drinking the Lime water about two Mutchkins a day. ever
Since you was here. also the Soap pills and the Anodyne
Occasionally. his diet is Cheifly. Milk. fresh Broaths
and Sometimes a little Animal food. Business led him
to Greenock on Friday last. and he went & returned
the Same day in a Chaise. which he says did not
much fatigue him. but yesterday he rode to Kirkin¬
tilloch and came home exceeding uneasie. and Sick
to that degree that he threw up
. these Excursions
were without my knowledge. to day he is still in
a good Deal of pain. with a Small frequent pulse
to the Amount of 120. in the Minute
. his Urine
rather Thicker of the Mucous Sediment. without
any Sand or gravel
and he Says the pain is rather
more diffused, his Appetite not so good and loosing
flesh &
Strenght, he now proposes Walking out about

half a Mile into the Country. to his bed. every tolerable
Night, he is ordered to Continue. till any thing New
is pointed out. Mr. Whyte joins me in Compliments
to you And I am

the Cicuta Pills and Encreasing ʒe Dose. he has
better &Worse days. tho upon the Whole he has
