When I had used the Medicines to 8een
days send me by your orders was desired
to inform you of it. Have now done so and find
no Material Effect either one way or other
the Costive Complaint is somewhat relived since I
began using the Pills, some days they would
Physick me. and other days have no Effect at all
as to the Injection I do not think it answered as it
smarted a good deal, and was by no means Easy
till Bathed with warm Milk & water. Neither these
it is from the Nature of it. or the Discharge which
I have been a long time Troubled with and
is all some times of a very fretful kind you
will be the Best judge

Your directions with regard to Diet have
most Carefully observed. and {illeg} have found
it very Necessary for some time Past to do so
as any food salt & {illeg} gave me uneasiness.
I have been for a long time, distressed with
a Pain and Weakness in my Back
be so oblijing as write to a acckward {illeg}
with your further Directions. Concerning taking
the Meccdines. I will if the Weather admit be
under the Necessity of going from Home about
{illeg} for a week or two, may well ↑it↑ be
proper to leave off my Medicines for fear of Cold
Please to send your Letter to Mrs Tennent at
Greenock.
