Sir


Your medicines for Mrs Houston with your very accurate
directions came safe on Wensday evening. That night she took 40 drops
as directed and had a much easier night than she had, had for severall
bygone ones - she took the Electuary on thursday morning - on that
evening she took 40 drops without any good effect, & yesternight they
were augmented to 53 she has had a very bad night of it and is still
very much distressed. She thinks herself worse these two days & nights
past than ever. She is quite racked with pains both in the Body &
legs & Arms in so much that she can neither sitt nor lye for minutes
[in?] any one poisture and all her other complaints are just as when you
was here - if any alteration in her medicine be thought necessary the
servant will wait for them and am respectfully
