Mr John Freeland Merchant who presents
this letter was seized some time ago with a
Hemiplegia he has been Blistered occasionally
& for some months past has been Electrified
pretty regularly he comes to consult you and
to get your advice in his case. He has been
advised to take a long Jaunt -- to go to Bath and
to use Sea Bathing amidst such a variety of Opinions
his wishes he wishes to have your advise & direction
he is in very good circumstances, and I think
will do what you shall judge proper.
