Agnes Maxwell of 23 Years of Age for some years past has
been much troubled with Head-Achs, which of late have turned to a
giddyness and swooning.- About four Weeks ago, she from being
a prudent sprightly Girl, discovered a Melancholy and lowness of
Spirits,
and at times but particularly in the Mornings and Evenings
began to speak inchoherently; yet when in Company where she is
Under any restraint she speaks and acts with her usual propriety;

- She sometimes has Flights and seems much disordered in
her Mind - She is perfectly sensible of this herself, and says
that she cannot at any time collect her Facultys. - She sleeps
well but when she awakes she starts up in Bed and is for some
Minutes in great Confusion.
- She has her Stomach as
well as ever and always eats solid Food.- She was never
known to sweat since she was a Child, tho her other Courses
are very regular.- As her Complaint was thought Nervous,
Nervous Medicines were applied without any effect.---
