I have received a fresh quantity from
Edinburgh but am at a Loss at ↑what↑ Number of Pills
to begin with, as I have had none Since Friday, and am
Afraid to begin with the quantity I left Off at
till I have your Advice, which I beg you will be
kind enough to favour me with in course of Post --

I omitted Mentioning to you that I have experienced
no Effect from the Pills with Respect to my Side as when

[Page 2]

I began taking the Pills - in Answer to your

in the family to which I belong, I beg have to inform
you there never was any Such Thing in it, and
as to myself I was never sensible of having the most

Worse since I left off taking the Pills
