Sir

according to your request
I write now to inform you I remaind well
for sometime after I left Edinburgh, & now
I am under a very great Complaint of my
left side just under my breast at the bottom of
the small ribs, attended with such a soreness that
I cant bear my hand upon it, on Thursday
night I was seiz'd with a violent giddyness
in my head & has continued, which confines me
to my room & mostly to my bed, upon the
least motion it returns, Particularly if I
attempt to walk, an answer to this, with
your advice, will be esteem'd a Pecular favo[ur]
from,

Sir,
