Dear Sir

I saw the letter addressed my mother
with [reffrent?] sent to the friend of mine mentioned
in that letter I recommended to your care --

[Several?] other letters upon this subject,
having been sent my mothers, I take the liberty
to mention & to represent that your advice &
opinion upon that point so the matters being
so rad readily sent my mother, has confered
{illeg} particular obligation upon me & has
really obliged me more than any thing
almost in life that would have been confered
upon me ---- I have different {illeg}
from Aberdeenshire, but these {illeg} being

for your own particular consideration & opinion
& being many of them of a singular & all of them
of a very private nature, I postpone saying
any thing more about them till I can my¬
self call at your home, which I think will
be about the beginning or middle of the
next ensuing week --- The same therefore
of writing just now arises from the following
considerations, & I take the liberty of urging the
the following request with some sort of order, which
being complied with will also much olige me.

Having letters from my mother a day or two
ago, & as for a {illeg} as I have said I cannot
call my self to consult you, with regard to
what my mother has already given so much
trouble, I would take it my kind were you

[Page 3]

to allow me a very short line, addressed me
but subscribed by you, [nearly?] in the form &
to the effect of the enclosed --- Tomorrow by
the post in the evening, I shall send it off
for Aberdeenshire, & it will be highly agreeable
to my mother & {illeg} then, & will do me a
great favor -- Should the time be left at your
home, any time addressed me {illeg}, to¬
morrow before {illeg} oclock afternoon, my
bearer will call for it & it will be in [perfect?]
time.

I am sorry to offer so much trouble but
am with my particular {illeg} respect.
