Sir


Mrs Burrows case in Summer you had
an account of, The Nephritic complaints went off
gradually with some small calculi & sand, in Novemner Last
She had some complaints Like the former pains along
the course of the winter Sickness at stomach, feverish
fitts
These were Relived by Emolients Diluents and
anodynes, When Relived from these pains she
Complained of Weakness & Debility an Inclination
to make water often & in Large Quantitys
for which
she had the solution of the Gum Arabic in Broths &
half a Drachm of the powder of the Bark three times a
Day with once or twice when the situation Requir'd it
10 Drops of Liquid Laudanum, with being frequently
out in the Coach has mended hir strength apetite and
Spirits Considerably but the Bearing Down pains and
Inclination to make Water & that in too large Quan¬
tity
, being Easier in a horesontill posture and the motion
of the Coach giving hir sometimes pains that affect the
neck of the Bladder Vagina & Rectum made me think that
some stone from the kidney in one of the Nephritic
Paroxisism's had yet Remaind in the Bladder &

may be the Cause of the present Complaints –
till such time as we heard your opinion of it
I desired hir to use the Lixivium you formerly
Recommended to hir


She had in health frequently small sharp sand
in hir Water and Observed very little or Less of
it of Late which may make the state of a Correction
the more probable. Mr & Mrs Burrow Desire their
Compliments to you & will Expect to hear from you soon.
