Mrs Munro of Culcairn


Aged 28 years, married 10 years, from her youth
generally healthie, Moderatly full, but not imprudent
In the past 5 years after Marriage, bore 3 Children
all which [time?] mostly very healthy, Only, some
times, subject to small {illeg} spots on her hands
and Arms. Has bore no children for 5 years back,
[And?] [in?] which period, she has been very singular & in
[A?] Natural state as to the Menses, & Moderatly [easie?]
in her belly. For these years back, always in the
Spring & autumn, troubled with {illeg} Erupti¬
ions on her hands,, Arms, thighs & legs, first with
a degree of Inflammation, forming A number of
small watery pimples, attended with Itching &
[m??d forming once there as at size,?] 1 Attended
with much pain, discharging A thin watery hum¬
our, one part of the Skin Specking out when
the other heald. For 18 Months back, she is
constantly in the Above Situation, over all her
body from her Neck downward, her hams &
thighs worst, Attended with ane intolerable
Itching, and after rubbing, very great pain, &
some times A swelling on the parts most
Affected of her arms and legs. Since it is [become?]
so universal, it is much dryer than when
compared to her hams & legs, and when rubbed
throws off A great quantity of dry scruffy scales.
And though the Menses flow regularly & plentifully
the Above complaints are most distressing at
& About that time, Some times has swellings
in the face & the breath greatly tainted.

the Apetite & [digestion?] have not much [improved?], & her
spirits, for bad [??ary?], tollerably good. --


A regular Attention has not been payd either to
her Regimen or use of Medicines, Only the Decoction
Lignor: of the PharmaCopeia 2 , for some weeks
once or twice, & these of a sulphurous
Mineral
in the Neighbourhood for Apart of
last season, either of which had no Sensible
effect.
