I Give you the Trouble of a Few Lines
with the Bearer Mr John Dickson Advocate who comes to
Consult you about Mr Noble His Uncle in Law and as
Mr Dickson has been always with Mr Noble He can give you
a pretty good Account of all the symptoms of the Disease so I need
not trouble you with a long Circumstantial account of His case
Mr Noble is a man Aged about 53 or 4 Has long had Stomach
Complaints such as Weakness Indigestion Wind, Costiveness and
often Nervous Headach's.


This Day se'ennight He was seizd with fitt of a Palsy
about Ten o clock forenoon which fixd on the left side - a kind of
Hemiplegia only; for The side is not affected, only has lost the
Motion of His Arm & LegThe sense of Feeling Remain in Both
His Head was never much affected for when I came to him
some Hours after he was seiz'd His Memory and Every sense
were Distinct & gave a particular Account of the way he
was affected He said that He found his stomach uneasy
and ane inclination to puke & His head a little Giddy &
then a Weakness on the left side and He calld for assistance
when He was liable to fall but he had always his senses


Have given Him Few Medicines yett He had ane injection
given him first for he had been Costive some Days


Likewise a Vomit Two Doses purging Tincture. Tinct: Cast
compsit:
& a few Nervous Medicines a Blister & ol: Volat:
to Rub the parts affected which is the sum of all that is Done
I Beg the Favour you'l write me soon your Directions both as
to Medicine and Regimen I Beg to present Respectfull Compliments
and Best wishes to you & Family & Hope they are well & am
with Great Regard Dear Sir
