For Dr. James Hamilton Concerning Miss Home

I am very happy to find that Miss Home continues to
recover, and believe that it has been very much owing to your
Judicious management ––

To the only question you now put, I can readily Answer
that a moderate quantity of Bark may be safely employed. That
you must allow me to observe what I could satisfy you of, if
I had an opportunity that the Bark is more properly treated
by infusion than by Decoction and the filtrated Infusion
is not only more elegant but also a more effectual preparation.
