Hunter explains that on his way to Bristol, Williams was seized with a "violent flux of blood from the lungs" at Chesterfield, "which reduced him so much that he died there about a fortnight after." Hunter says that he has enclosed for Cullen "a case of some singularity" but this seems to have been lost. 16 June 1782
